We always love when it's Book Fair time! It's always tough deciding on that perfect book.

Needle Ice Part 2

Here are some pictures of the needle ice we found growing in our school garden.

Needle Ice

Not much is growing in the garden these days except a few carrots and some needle ice.  We researched and found out that this phenomenon occurs when air temperatures are below freezing and ground temperatures are not.  As water tries to evaporate, it quickly freezes. 

Back to School!

I am very excited about the upcoming school year! We have a new school motto: LEAD, which stands for Learn, Excel, Achieve, Dream.  We have also expanded our school garden.  I can't wait to see all of the wonderful things we will be able to grow this year, including classes full of leaders!
